We are One - Tweetwrap
Sunday, January 18, 2009 at 4:44PM So earlier I was watching the "We are One" Inaugural Concert on HBO (rebroadcast on HBO at 7pm ET tonight). As I was watching I was following some of the Twitter back chatter on the hash tag #inaug09. I figured I'd collect some of my contributions to the conversation below for those who weren't following. Overall I think it was a pretty successful concert with the exception of Tom Hanks and Garth Brooks butchering the song "American Pie." It's pretty amazing though to see 1,000s of people gathered at the Lincoln Memorial and definitely evokes memories of images and events that I've only ever seen in textbooks. I'm very curious to see what the mall looks like when it is full of a million plus people for the swearing in ceremony. It's hard for a lot of reason, not the least of which are events in my personal life, to wonder what will this country look like in four years? I certainly hope it looks a lot different in a much more positive way. We will see.
