About Me

I'm a Software Engineer by trade but like to consider myself an all around geek.  This blog is a place where you'll find my thoughts on a number of different things I'm passionate about.  More often than not though that list tends to include: Technology, Social Media and the Web in general, Geek Culture (TV/Movies/SciFi), Space Exploration, Music/A Cappella.

E3 Darkhorse: Scribblenauts (Video)

One of the games getting a good deal of buzz coming out of E3 is a game called "Scribblenauts" for the Nintendo DS, yes that's right not one of the big three consoles. The premise of the game is simple you are given a series of puzzles and can solve them by typing in the objects you might need to solve that puzzle. As evidenced in the video above the game has a disturbingly large database and a very amusing sense of humor in the implementation. In the video listen for the guy who talks about how he put "God" and "Death" into the game and watched them fight it out with amusing results.

I first learned of this game when Jeff Cannata of The Totally Rad Show was talking it up and now I'm seriously considering a DS just to try this game out. Props to the website Nintendorks.com for the very cool video embedded above. A very unique concept for sure if nothing else but to me it looks like some fun as well.
